Dear Students, Parents, Faculty Members, Alumni and Well-Wishers,

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the official website of Shaheed Jagdish Prasad Purohit Government Degree College, Nandanagar (Ghat), Chamoli, Uttarakhand.

Established in 2014, our college is committed to providing quality, accessible and inclusive higher education to students of the Himalayan region. We strive to create a learning environment that promotes academic excellence, critical thinking, creativity, skills, values and social responsibility.

In accordance with NEP 2020, we encourage holistic development through academics, research, seminars, sports, cultural activities, NSS, Rover & Rangers and community engagement.

The college is named in honour of Late Hawaldar Jagdish Prasad Purohit of the Mahar Regiment, whose courage and sacrifice inspire us to uphold the values of discipline, dedication and service to the nation.

Our aim is not only to prepare students for careers, but also to nurture responsible, confident and compassionate citizens who can contribute meaningfully to society and the nation.

I invite our students to learn with curiosity, dream with confidence, respect our rich Himalayan heritage, and embrace every opportunity for growth.

Together, let us transform education into knowledge, knowledge into wisdom, and aspirations into achievements.

With best wishes for your bright and successful future.
